Facebook Falling Flat on Face

How many times can Facebook poke the public before we get fed up enough to jump ship? It began with an attempt to assume ownership of OUR photos and videos. Then it continued with not one, but two major lawsuits related to Facebook illegally sharing our information with others (and there were certainly other lawsuits, too).
Add to that, the numerous times that Facebook has redesigned screens and required users to opt out of sharing personal information, and you have more than enough reasons to bury Facebook next to the MySpace grave site.
Still not convinced to leave the one social site you have used to stay connected with friends? How about the fact that one of the Co-Founders has decided to take his estimated $4 million to Singapore and defriend the United States. That’s right. Eduardo Saverin stands to save millions in capital gains taxes, since renouncing his US citizenship last September. Apparently Facebook is attached to the money, but not the people who brought it to that point.
A GREAT ALTERNATIVE
If you’re disgusted enough to want to do something about it, but not sure where you can continue to connect with friends, take a look at Google+. This relatively new social site is constantly unveiling new communication tools that make staying connected more versatile and fun! Friends can be sorted into circles, making communication more relevant and useful. Video chatting is also a standard feature, allowing up to ten people to enter a hangout at the same time. Google+ is incredibly mobile, too. Google’s phone app incorporates a video chat feature called Google Messenger which enables you to chat from wherever you are, face to face. Here’s a quick video intro to Google+:
